Srinagar: Four security personnel, including two CRPF personnel and two Jammu and Kashmir Police officers, were injured in an ongoing encounter with militants in Srinagar’s Khanyar area on Saturday.
A senior police official told Kashmir Newsville that the injuries occurred during an exchange of fire with militants. The injured personnel have been taken to a nearby hospital, where all are reported to be in stable condition.
As of now, no militant casualties have been reported, though officials confirmed that the militants remain trapped within the security cordon. Operations are ongoing as security forces continue to monitor the area.
