Srinagar: Cyber Police Kashmir has issued a stern warning to social media influencers and YouTubers, urging them to avoid endorsing betting apps, fraudulent investment schemes, and fake work-from-home job offers.
In a recent statement, the cyber officials said that promoting such platforms not only misleads the public but also constitutes a punishable offence under the law.
“Strict legal action will be taken against anyone advertising or endorsing these fraudulent platforms. Cyber Police Kashmir is closely monitoring such activities,” a spokesperson said.
The public has been encouraged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities to prevent falling victim to online scams.
