1. Fruit salads:

What is a fruit salad without apples? Apple adds a sweet tart note to the other flavours and its crispy texture gives a delectable crunch to salads.

Apple pairs very well with almost every kind of fruit, be it mango, banana or even berries. Whether you prefer your salad dressing with fresh cream or mayonnaise, you can be sure the apple will hold up well and taste great. It is truly nature’s treat!

 

2. Apple juice:

What’s better than a glass of fresh apple juice to beat the summer heat? Apple juice is one of the tastiest and most favorite drink among kids too. Loaded with benefits of calcium, potassium, magnisium and vitamins, the fruit and its juice give out sufficient health punch.

Being the richest source of phenolic compounds, apple juice, when consumed on a daily helps fight against common infections.

 

3. Apple cider vinegar:

Apple cider vinegar is a popular home remedy. People have been using it for centuries in cooking and medicine.

Apple cider vinegar has several health properties, which include it’s antimicrobial and antioxidant effects. It is beneficial in aiding weight loss, reducing cholesterol, lowering blood sugar levels and improving the symptoms of diabetes. It can be easily consumed with a glass of water first thing in the morning and even as a dressing in salads.

 

4. Apple slices with peanut butter:

For some reason, peanut butter tastes great with almost everything, including apples! Apples and peanut butter proves to be a hearty snack. It’s taste can be improved by adding some cinnamon and honey to the peanut butter.

 

5. Apple jam:

Uncountable varieties of jams are available in the market, but nothing can match the taste of fresh home-made apple jam! Apple jams are made with spices (cinnamon and vanilla), an acidic ingredient, a sweetner and ofcourse apples!

Spread on a warm piece of toast, a fresh slice of bread, a flaky Paratha or a slice of sponge cake, home-made apple jam is a sweet treat that is both delicious and comforting.

It is a great way to utilise an abundance of apples when they are in season.

 

6. Apple halwa:

Apple halwa is an easy and delicious halwa (pudding) that is made with sweet apples, ghee (clarified butter), sugar and nuts. The smooth texture of this halwa has aromatic hints from cinnamon and vanilla.

If you are bored of having the usual gaajar or sooji halwa, then this desert will definitely offer a distinct experience to your taste buds. It is very simple to prepare and is a great option for weight watchers.

 

7. Apple chips:

Nothing is more specifically autumnal than fresh crispy Apple Chips! They can be easily consumer as a fall-inspired snack when we’re on the go!

Baked apple chips are a tasty nutritious treat you can feel good about eating. They can even curb dessert cravings with their natural fruit sugars.

Apple chips can be prepared at home in minutes by tossing thin apple slices in a bowl of cinnamon and sugar and then placing them in an oven!

 

8. Apple custard:

Apple custard is a sweet and crunchy desert that can help us successfully top our calcium requirement. Milk, mixed with nutritious and tasty apples and a sweetner makes it possible to transform the sinful course of a meal to a guilt free and healthy one without compromising on the taste!

Apples can also be added to a regular fruit custard to add a punch of crunch. It is prepared by adding the fruits to a mixture of boiled milk, custard powder and a sweetner.

 

9. Apple in cereal:

Don’t have time to prep-up an entire meal? Chop up a few apple slices and throw them into your daily cereal. It is a healthy breakfast option to up your fiber intake. Regular oatmeal can also be topped with diced apples sprinkled with some cinnamon and honey.

 

10. Apple sauce:

Apple sauce is a purée made of apples. It can be made with peeled or unpeeled apples and may be spiced or sweetened according to your liking.

Apple sauce can be used as a fat substitute in baked items, in drinks or simply as dressing on any sweet and savoury dish.
