Srinagar: An encounter has started between militants and security forces in Khushal area of Tanghdar in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, Officials said.
Quoting an official, news agency The News Vibes of India reported that a joint team of Police and Army launched a cordon and search operation in Khushal Post area Tanghdar on the basis of a tip-off about presence of militants.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
