Srinagar: A 4-year-old girl was mauled by a leopard inside her home in the Khudi Qalamabad area of Handwara on Sunday evening, officials said.
Quoting an official, news agency NVI reported that the girl was immediately taken to the District Hospital Handwara from where she was referred to SKIMS Soura for enhanced treatment. The girl is in a critical condition, the official said.
The official identified the girl as Adeeba Jan (4), daughter of Aijaz Ahmad Khan, a resident of Khudi Qalamabad, Handwara.
An investigation has been initiated by police.
