Anantnag: A fire broke out in Jamia Masjid in Khanbal area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday.
Quoting an official, news agency NVI reported that fire broke out in Jamia Masjid Khanabal which spread to nearby residential houses and caused damage.
He said that Fire and Emergency Services personnel are currently on the spot to control the flames and prevent further spread.
He said that the fire, which started in the masjid, quickly spread to neighboring homes which prompted swift response efforts by the Fire and Emergency Services.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and no injuries have been reported so far, the official said.
