Srinagar: In a significant step towards improving access to advanced medical care, the Jammu and Kashmir government has announced official rates for PET scans and CBCT machine services in all government-run hospitals and health institutions under the Health and Medical Education Department, excluding SKIMS.
According to the government order issued by the Health and Medical Education Department, the fixed charges are as follows:
PET Scan (Whole Body): ₹10,000 per scan
PET Scan (Cardiac Metabolism): ₹4,000 per scan
PET-Guided Biopsy: ₹1,200 per test
PET Scan Review from Outside: ₹600 per scan
CBCT Machine Charges: ₹1,200 per scan
This initiative aims to make advanced diagnostic services more affordable, particularly for economically disadvantaged patients, ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare.
