Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Transport Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan on Sunday stated that bike taxi service “Rapido” is operating in the Union Territory without a valid license and warned that those using or participating in the service are doing so at their own risk.
The Transport Commissioner stated that directions had been issued to the concerned officers to initiate action against the “illegal service”.
In a post on X, Mahajan said his office had received multiple complaints regarding the functioning of Rapido in Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that the company had not been granted permission to operate in the UT.
“Anybody participating in the service or using it is doing so at his or her own risk,” he said.
