Kulgam: One army man and four unidentified militants have been killed in an ongoing gunfight in Chinigam area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday
Official sources told Kashmir Newsville that four unidentified militants have been killed during the encounter in the Chingam area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir.
The encounter began when a group of militants fired upon forces, who had launched a cordon and search operation in the area following an input about militant movement in the area on Saturday afternoon.
In the following exchange of gunfire, they said, four militants have been killed, who are yet to be identified.
During the exchange of gunfire, one army man was also killed.
Another encounter that raged earlier in the Modergam area of the south Kashmir district is still going on.
