Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha convened a crucial security review meeting today at Raj Bhawan, focusing on the overall security situation in Kashmir Division.

Senior officials in attendance included Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, Principal Secretary of Home Department Chandraker Bharti, ADGP (Law & Order) Vijay Kumar, ADGP CID Nitish Kumar, IGP Kashmir Vidhi Kumar Birdi, Principal Secretary to LG Dr. Mandeep Bhandari, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, and other top officials of the J&K Police.

During the meeting, LG Sinha emphasized the importance of fortifying security around critical infrastructure projects and construction camps to safeguard workers. He called for establishing regular coordination mechanisms between security forces and project implementing agencies.

The Lieutenant Governor directed police officials to conduct comprehensive security audits of these projects, increase round-the-clock vigilance at strategic locations, and ensure night patrolling and area dominance. He stressed the need for a robust security and intelligence grid, with intensified joint operations involving the Army and other security forces to combat militancy effectively.

“The entire militant ecosystem, including perpetrators and those aiding and abetting militants, must be dismantled completely,” LG Sinha asserted, underscoring the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards militancy.
