Jammu: Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Surinder Chowdhury today said they would not permit any outsiders to encroach on the land of Jammu and Kashmir, nor would they allow employment opportunities in Jammu and Kashmir to be seized by outsiders.
He also said the security grid must contemplate and change its policy, taking strong action as required in the wake of the recent terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
During his visit to Kishtwar district, the Deputy Chief Minister expressed sorrow over the killing of two Village Defence Guards (VDGs). He said the government will never tolerate such incidents, asserting that they desire peace in Jammu and Kashmir and hope these deaths will be the last.
The Deputy Chief Minister remarked that the National Conference has always made sacrifices for a peaceful Kashmir, noting that thousands of leaders and workers from the party have been killed in the struggle.
He stated that the National Conference aims to strengthen the country, as well as Jammu and Kashmir and the Constitution of India.
The Deputy CM said that the resolution passed in the Assembly reflects the promises made to the people during the elections and in their manifesto, a sentiment shared by the people of both Jammu and Kashmir.
