Dubai: India beat New Zealand by 44 runs in the final group stage encounter of the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai.
The outcome helped India finish top of Group A and set a semi-final date with Australia, which will be played on March 4 at the same venue.
Varun Chakaravarthy, playing his first match of the tournament, emerged as the standout player from the Indian camp. The mystery spinner claimed five wickets as India bundled out New Zealand for 205 in 45.3 overs after piling 249/9 on the board.
