Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced that from April 1, women will be entitled to free travel in all government-operated transport, including e-buses. The announcement came as part of J&K UT’s maiden Budget presentation.
Omar Abdullah further stated that 200 more e-buses will be introduced in Srinagar and Jammu this year to improve public transport.
On Friday, Omar presented the first budget of Jammu and Kashmir in six years and said it is a roadmap for economic growth and a true reflection of people’s aspirations.
