Srinagar: The Regional Transport Office (RTO) Kashmir has announced that Driving Skill Tests for applicants in District Srinagar will resume from April 8, 2025.
The tests were earlier suspended due to tree-cutting work at the SRTC workshop premises, which made the site unsuitable for examinations.
The RTO Kashmir said that a revised schedule for affected candidates will be communicated via SMS on their registered phone numbers. While the cancellation caused inconvenience, authorities have assured that all pending tests will now be conducted smoothly.
The RTO has also requested the General Manager of JKRTC (Estates) to ensure the completion of tree-cutting work before April 8 to prevent further delays.
This announcement comes as a relief to many applicants awaiting their driving tests, a mandatory step for obtaining a driving license. The RTO has urged all candidates to stay updated and follow notifications sent to their registered numbers for further details.
