Srinagar: The Hajj Committee of India (HCoI) has issued an advisory announcing the cancellation of all Hajj flights scheduled from the Srinagar Embarkation Point until May 9, 2025, due to the temporary closure of Srinagar Airport.
A circular issued by the HCoI states: “In view of NOTAM A0976/25 concerning the temporary closure of Srinagar Airport, Hajj flights from the Srinagar Embarkation Point have been cancelled until 9th May 2025. The situation is currently being reviewed, and alternate arrangements for the air travel of the concerned pilgrims are under active consideration in close coordination with various stakeholders.”
The committee affirmed its commitment to ensuring a smooth pilgrimage for all Hajj pilgrims and advised them to remain in touch with the Jammu & Kashmir State Hajj Committee for updates on revised travel schedules.
The circular further mentioned that the J&K State Hajj Committee has been requested to promptly inform the concerned pilgrims and keep them updated on any further developments.
