Water Supply To Remain Affected In Srinagar Areas Tomorrow

Water Supply In Srinagar To Remain Affected On March 14

Srinagar: The government on Monday announced that water supply in several areas of Srinagar will remain affected on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

According to a public notice issued by the Water Works Division Srinagar, urgent repair work on the Sindh Power Canal (PDC), being undertaken by the CMD Ganderbal, will impact the raw water supply to the Alusteng and Rangil Water Treatment Plants.

As a result, potable water supply will be severely affected in major parts of Srinagar and its adjoining areas.

The affected areas include Zakoora, Gulab Bagh, Alusteng, Shuhama, Hadoora, Chatterhama, Khalmulla, Habak, Naseem Bagh, Busserbagh, Malla Bagh, Pandach, Buchpora, Soura, Anchar, Bohlouhpora, Zoonimar, Nowshera, Bagh Ali Mardan Khan, Zadibal, Hawal, Alamgari Bazar, Rajouri Kadal, Nallahmar, Nawakadal, Bohri Kadal, Nowhatta, Lal Bazar, Hazratbal, Sadribal, parts of Rainawari, Nigeen, Saida Kadal, Karan Nagar, Chattabal, Kawdara, Eidgah, Mahrajgunj, Zaina Kadal, Saidpora, Bemina, Firdous Abad, parts of Batmaloo, Qamarwari, Zainakote, Noorabad, Umerabad, and adjacent areas.

“The general public is advised to store adequate water in advance to meet their requirements during the disruption,” the notice reads.

For complaints or grievances regarding water scarcity, residents can contact the PHE Provincial Control Room, which operates round the clock.
