Srinagar: Amid improving weather conditions in the Valley, the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Saturday issued a fresh directive revising school timings across the Kashmir Division. The new schedule, applicable to both government and recognized private schools, will come into effect from Monday, July 14, 2025.
“In view of the improvement in weather conditions and in the academic interest of students, It is hereby ordered that new School timing both in respect of Government, as well as, recognized Private Schools in the Kashmir division with effective 14-7-25” read an order by Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK).
The schools falling in the Srinagar Municipal limits shall have timing 8:30 am to 2:30pm.
With regards to the schools falling outside municipal limits, the order said that school timings shall be from 9:00am to 3:00 pm, the order added.
