Srinagar: Three militants were killed in an encounter that erupted on Monday morning in the Lidwas area of Srinagar’s Harwan, the Army confirmed.
According to Army officials, the gunfight broke out after security forces launched a search operation in the area. “Three militants have been neutralised in an intense firefight. The operation is still underway,” the Army said in a statement.
Security forces continue to maintain a tight cordon around the area as the search operation remains in progress.
