Srinagar: The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway has been closed for vehicular movement after suffering damage at several places due to incessant rains.
Officials said that commuters have been strictly advised not to undertake any journey on the highway until restoration work is completed and the road is made traffic worthy.
Meanwhile, traffic is plying normally on the Mughal Road and Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri (SSG) road as per advisory, while Sinthan Road continues to remain closed.
Authorities urged commuters to follow lane discipline and avoid overtaking to prevent congestion.
