Srinagar: Traffic Police clarified that no challans have been issued to vehicles parked on flyovers or higher grounds for flood safety, dismissing social media and media reports suggesting otherwise.
SSP Traffic Srinagar, Aijaz Ahmad, said, “Some social media posts and a few news channels have wrongly shown our traffic personnel issuing challans to vehicles kept on flyovers for safekeeping. This is incorrect. No challans have been issued in such cases.”
He urged the public not to fall for rumours and misinformation. “Such reports are baseless. We appeal to people not to pay attention to them,” SSP Aijaz added.(JKNS)
