Srinagar: The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Wednesday ordered the closure of all schools and colleges across the Kashmir division for September 3, 2025, in view of the prevailing inclement weather.
Garg said the decision was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff.
According to officials, the Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at several places in the Valley. The weather may trigger waterlogging, landslides, and disruption in road connectivity.
Authorities have appealed to the public to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel.
