Kulgam: An unidentified militant was killed and three army personnel, including a Junior Commissioned Officer, were injured during an encounter in the Guddar area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday.
A senior police officer said the militant was killed in the exchange of fire, while the injured soldiers were shifted to hospital. He added that one of them is in critical condition.
The gunfight began after a joint team of police, army, and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Guddar following intelligence inputs about the presence of militants.(GNS)
