Srinagar: Suspected Militants opened fire on a retired armyman, his wife, and their daughter in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday.
An official said that all three were taken to hospital in injured condition where ex-army man succumbed to injuries while his wife and daughter are said to be stable.
The retired armyman, identified as Manzoor Ahmad Wagay, a resident of Behibagh, Kulgam, sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen. His wife and daughter suffered injuries to their legs and are under treatment.
Following the attack, security forces cordoned off the area to track down the assailants.
