Srinagar: Rajasthan Royals’ 14-year-old wonderkid Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed the fastest-ever IPL century off just 35 balls, also becoming the youngest-ever player to hit a T20 century.
Suryavanshi also slammed the fastest fifty of IPL 2025, getting there in just 17 balls.
Playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL 2025, Suryavanshi smashed a blistering hundred off just 35 balls against Gujarat Titans (GT) in only his third professional match.
His explosive innings also earned him the distinction of recording the second-fastest century in IPL history, just behind Chris Gayle’s 30-ball hundred for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Pune Warriors back in 2013.
In addition, Suryavanshi has now become the second-youngest player ever to score a century in any form of representative cricket, further cementing his status as one of the most exciting young talents to watch.
Who is Vaibhav Suryavanshi?
Suryavanshi became the youngest player to be signed by an IPL team when he was picked up at the auction after a bidding war last year.
He made headlines last October when, aged 13, he scored a 58-ball century for India Under-19s in a Youth Test against Australia Under-19s in Chennai.
Suryavanshi was also part of India’s Under-19 Asia Cup squad last year. There he scored 176 runs at an average of 44.
He plays first-class cricket for Bihar, a state in eastern India where he grew up, and made his debut aged 12 last January.
He has played five Ranji Trophy matches for Bihar and has scored 100 runs with a highest score of 41
